Staffing Unit
The Staffing Unit is a support service that provides staffing during absences based on the orders received from the municipality's various operations. We are a central entry point to Laholm Municipality for applicants who want to work as substitutes in the below operations. We offer specialized competence in staffing and in the recruitment process to the operations. We are a team that works together to provide good service in our interactions with substitutes and operations.
Description
For the summer, we have a need for substitutes who want to work within the Night Patrol, which means home care at night. The working hours are distributed over nights, where you work 14 shifts over 4 weeks equivalent to full-time.
It is desirable and prioritized that you can complete your introduction during the spring as a paid hourly employee in Laholm Municipality, so that you are ready when the summer substitute position starts. For those who want to work extra already during the spring, there may be opportunities for hourly employment.
Job Responsibilities
In elderly care, we always start from each individual's needs, wishes, and opportunities to participate in their daily life. As an employee with us, you work to support the individual in personal care, for example during hygiene and toilet visits.
As a substitute in the night patrol, you will provide care and medical assistance for the elderly during the night, report, and document.
As a substitute in the night patrol, you will also be part of the social services' collaboration with the Rescue Service, which means that you may be called to act as the first responder to SOS alarms while waiting for the Rescue Service to arrive on the scene. This will primarily be handled by the regular staff, but you may be involved and need to help.
Working within the night patrol means that you cover larger geographical areas and mainly act based on the alarms that come in.
Qualifications
To be eligible for employment, you must be at least 18 years old. You can express yourself well in Swedish, both spoken and written, and you can understand instructions clearly and confidently.
We are looking for someone who can engage in performing approved interventions and provide a good, respectful, and professional response. You are responsible, have good social and communication skills, and show care in your interactions with others. The assignment requires that you are proactive, attentive to the user's wishes, and have a natural respect for personal integrity. You should be able to work independently as well as together with colleagues.
The job also includes documenting completed interventions in our digital system. Therefore, you need to be accustomed to using a computer, mobile phone, or tablet in your work. You do not need to be an expert; the most important thing is that you feel comfortable with basic digital work tools and are willing to learn. Of course, you will receive introduction and support from us.
It is an advantage if you are trained or studying to be a nursing assistant or caregiver, preferably with experience in care and support work.
You should also be able to receive and carry out a medication delegation after training at the workplace.
Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
Conditions
A B driver's license is required for work in Home Care.
