Payroll Administrator at the Payroll Unit in Region Gotland
In Region Gotland, you can develop and grow, both as an individual and together with others. When you work with us, you contribute to making Gotland an even better place for people in all walks of life. We make each other better.
The Payroll Unit
The Payroll Unit is located in Slite and is part of the regional administrative board.
Our mission is to ensure that all employees within Region Gotland receive correct salaries on time. We also provide advice and support to the region's managers and employees on salary-related issues. We are divided into teams that deliver services to all of the region's administrations, which means we work with several different contractual areas.
We are now looking for a new employee who wants to develop together with the unit. You will work as a payroll administrator in a payroll team and work in our scheduling/staffing system Medvind and personnel/payroll system HR.
Your Responsibilities
As a payroll administrator, your main tasks will be to register, perform, and verify payroll calculations. Region Gotland uses Visma HR as the payroll system and Visma Medvind as the scheduling and time reporting system.
An important part of your role is to provide advice and support to managers and employees on salary-related issues. You will also have ongoing contact with external stakeholders such as the Social Insurance Agency.
Your tasks also include the administration of employment contracts, employer certificates, employment periods, vacation, absence, fees, and schedules in our HR systems.
Who Are You?
Applicants should have a three-year upper secondary education with a focus on economics or administration. It is an advantage if you also have a post-secondary vocational education, preferably with a focus on payroll (for example, payroll specialist) and preferably experience in payroll work and/or scheduling management.
We expect you to have good computer skills, especially in the Office package (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and a strong interest in administrative tasks. You should have a good command of the Swedish language in both speech and writing.
As a person, you are driven by providing service to others. You should be structured, able to plan, and have foresight. Attention to detail is an important trait, as well as having an eye for quality and being able to work both independently and in a team. A positive attitude, humility, and the ability to contribute energy and joy to your work are qualities we value highly. Since you will have many contacts, your communicative and pedagogical skills are of great importance.
We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
