Career Guidance

The Career Guidance (KVL) service is a commission from the Employment Agency. The purpose is to provide our participants, who are job seekers, with support and assistance in making well-considered choices to find sustainable paths to education and work. During career guidance, they will become aware of their competencies and abilities and what they need to develop in order to achieve their goals. Together with the participant, we will develop a realistic career plan that outlines the steps needed to reach the ultimate goal – a job.

The Position

As a coach, you will be part of a team working with career guidance. Your task is to support and guide participants, together with educational and career counselors, based on their circumstances, towards realistic study and career choices. You will work in a coaching and supportive manner with the participants, lead guiding group activities, and conduct company and study visits. In addition, you will also be responsible for documentation.

Your Responsibilities Include:

• Guiding participants, both individually and in groups.
• Conducting group activities and company and study visits.
• Planning and documenting.
• Collaborating with other coaches and educational and career counselors.

We are looking for someone who is driven, self-sufficient, goal-oriented, structured, and quality-conscious. It is important that you are curious, empathetic, creative, relationship-oriented, and can adapt to different people and situations.

The position is a permanent employment at 80% with placement at our office in Visby. There may also be an opportunity for full-time employment.

You Need to Meet the Following Competence Requirements

1. At least one (1) year of full-time studies at the post-secondary level with at least a passing grade and
2. At least three (3) years of work experience equivalent to full-time in one or more of the following professions or tasks:

• Management with personnel responsibility
• Recruitment
• Transition work for job seekers
• Educational and career guidance
• Handling personnel issues (not just personnel administration)
• Work with labor and labor market issues
• Work with social and group psychology
• Career guidance

Studies and work experience must be verified.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability. Additional languages beyond Swedish and English are advantageous.
