The Department of Education, Didactics and Educational Sociology (EDU) conducts research, doctoral education, undergraduate education, and commissioned education in education, didactics, and educational sociology. EDU also offers several master's programs. EDU has about 250 employees, including around 175 teachers/researchers, 45 doctoral students, and 30 administrators. Job Responsibilities

Guidance, study technique seminars for newly admitted students, information as well as project, administrative, and coordination tasks in connection with information and welcome days. The job also includes organizing seminars for students and collaborating with Region Gotland and other stakeholders on the island. The student coaches' activities are conducted in consultation with the Department of Education, Didactics and Educational Sociology and its staff at Campus Gotland.

Qualifications

To be employed as an assistant, it is required that you are admitted to undergraduate or advanced level education and active within one of the department's teacher programs. Since the work involves many contacts, pedagogical and administrative competence is required. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

The university will primarily consider those who, after a qualitative overall assessment of competence and skill, are deemed to have the best prerequisites for carrying out and developing the relevant tasks and contributing to a positive development of the operations.

About the Employment

Individual salary setting applies. The employment is temporary according to HF 5 chap § 12. The extent is 20%. Start date is 2026-05-01 or by agreement. Place of employment is Visby, Gotland.
