HR Specialist at Region Gotland

At Region Gotland, you can develop and grow, both as an individual and together with others. When you work with us, you contribute to making Gotland an even better place for people in all walks of life. We make each other better.

HR Support

The HR department consists of an HR director, business and organizational developers, HR strategists, and two units, HR support and payroll.

In the HR support unit, we currently have about 20 employees; HR specialists, recruiters, an administrator, and a system developer. Our mission is to provide consultative support in personnel matters to all managers at Region Gotland and to drive development projects within the organization's common HR areas. There is also a support function in the unit where we respond to inquiries directly via phone/email or forward cases to colleagues within the relevant area.

Our services are constantly in demand, and our mission is continuously growing and evolving. We work to constantly review our working methods to better meet existing needs.

As a unit, we are positive and engaged, and we are now looking for two colleagues who want to help develop the HR work within Region Gotland's operations, as well as contribute to both our operational and strategic work.

Your Responsibilities

As an HR specialist, you will work to support the region's managers in HR matters and deal with labor law issues as well as contractual and working time matters. You will support the organization in negotiation matters; advising and interpreting laws and agreements. You will actively contribute to the department's development work, for example, in strategic matters concerning compensation and working hours. The position will also involve work with investigations of harassment based on fact-finding methods.

Working as an HR specialist with us means that you have a large personal responsibility in your daily work and the opportunity to influence how you structure your workday. You will be part of a dynamic HR organization where you are surrounded by many knowledgeable colleagues with great competence.

We offer you an independent and varied job with stimulating tasks, where you become part of a larger whole, where our mission contributes to making everyday life better for all Gotlanders and where your development becomes our success.

Who Are You?

You who are applying have a university degree in HR or equivalent education and experience in labor law that the employer assesses as equivalent. You have several years of experience in qualified HR work with a particular focus on labor law and working time issues and in-depth knowledge of collective bargaining issues. A B driver's license is required for the position.

If you have training in investigative methodology regarding harassment, this is meritorious for the position, as is having worked in the public sector.

You who are applying for the position have good experience collaborating with people at different levels. The role involves a lot of independent work, and we therefore see that you need to have good organizational skills and be structured in your work. As an HR specialist, you collaborate a lot with others and therefore need to be relationship-building, attentive, and adaptable to new circumstances. Furthermore, you are a good communicator who conveys information clearly and simply, both verbally and in writing.

We warmly welcome your application!
