About Us
The Swedish Armed Forces are in a dynamic growth phase to build a stronger defense that can meet the deteriorating global situation. In the air domain, this requires both new units and capabilities, where cutting-edge technology is a central part. This means we are in an exciting phase with deliveries of new material systems such as the JAS 39 Gripen E, S106 Globaleye, new tactical transport aircraft C-390, drones, command systems, satellites, etc. The Air Force procures material annually for approximately 20 billion SEK.
The Air Staff's material section is now seeking an Assistant Material Area Responsible (MOA) Base with the responsibility to support the procurement and maintenance of material for the Armed Forces' base units, airfields, and bases. You will work in a team with, among others, MOA Base, where you will work both independently and together with other employees within the Air Staff's planning department.
Main Responsibilities
As an Assistant MOA Base, you will work closely with MOA Base and the war unit responsible for air base units and other functional representatives in the development of the Air Force's future base capability. Furthermore, production control and follow-up responsibility are also included in the tasks. You will collaborate with the Defense Staff, the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV), as well as the other material area responsible persons, war unit responsible persons, and maintenance leaders within the Air Staff. Being an MOA places high demands on responsibility, the ability to work both individually and in a group, and in the long term to build knowledge and experience of the included material systems.
In the role, you will, among other things:
- Define requirements, procure, and maintain material to achieve unit objectives
- Be a supportive function in the development and coordination of system objectives
- Lead, direct, plan, coordinate, and follow up production
