We are now looking for a temporary laboratory technician for Water and Sewage during the summer of 2026.

The Water and Sewage operations have about 50 employees. We plan for, produce, and deliver drinking water and manage and treat wastewater and stormwater. We manage and enhance distribution networks, sewage facilities, and drinking water facilities. Enköping is expanding, and we are preparing for the future, where we plan for new areas and densifications in our work. Exciting challenges await, with projects such as a new sewage treatment plant and the future of drinking water supply!

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a summer substitute for our friendly team within the Water and Sewage operations' Lab and Quality Group. The laboratory is accredited according to ISO 17025 and consists of five dedicated employees. Our mission is to assess the quality of the municipality's drinking water and the treatment of wastewater. With us, you participate in and contribute to community development.

The work mainly involves:

• Sample handling and analysis
• Laboratory desk work
• Control and maintenance of instruments
• Administrative tasks, such as preparing deviations and documentation of various kinds.

QUALIFICATIONS

To be the right person, you must have an ongoing or completed post-secondary education in chemistry or biology. You may also have an education or experience that the employer assesses as equivalent.

It is an advantage if you have laboratory experience and knowledge of water analyses.

We naturally want to enjoy working together, and therefore we place great importance on your personal qualities. In this role, it is important that you are structured and quality-conscious. As a person, you have good collaboration skills and are self-driven.

Digital tools, data, and new technological opportunities, such as AI-based support, are becoming an increasingly important part of how we work. Therefore, we want you to be accustomed to working with digital tools, using AI solutions, and seeing technology as a natural support in your work. With a development-oriented approach, you contribute to improving how we work and develop the operations.

Furthermore, you must have very good knowledge of Swedish and good knowledge of English and be over 18 years old. The summer position extends from June to August 2026.
