We are now looking for an engaged and structured property manager who wants to take overall responsibility for their own management area – with a focus on technical, economic, and legal aspects.
Job Description
As a property manager, you have overall responsibility for your portfolio of premises and properties. You ensure business acumen and progress through good planning, follow-up, and collaboration, ensuring that you or others deliver on their commitments to ensure customer satisfaction. The role entails broad responsibility where you are the contact person for both tenants, suppliers, and other stakeholders. You actively work together in a matrix organization with operational support and property managers. You have an important task in managing from economic, technical, and legal perspectives – but also in developing the relationship with our tenants and suppliers. You ensure that the properties meet both the operational needs and regulatory requirements while planning for long-term maintenance and participating in development projects related to the properties.
Responsibilities
- have overall responsibility for a management area, including budget, forecasts, and follow-up
- be the contact person for tenants and be responsible for leasing, customer dialogue, and any negotiations
- coordinate maintenance planning, monitor inspections, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- participate in projects related to both owned and rented properties
- follow up on purchases and contracts and manage supplier contacts
- contribute to the development of processes and working methods within property management.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:
- good experience in technical and economic property management with customer responsibility
- experience in budget and financial responsibility
- good knowledge of property and rental law, including condominium legislation
- good understanding of property economics, including investment calculations
- post-secondary education as a property engineer, property manager, construction, or equivalent competence
- driver's license (B).
If you have experience in negotiations, it is considered an advantage.
As a person, you are self-driven, take responsibility for your tasks, and have a structured working method. You communicate clearly, have a natural customer focus, and thrive in a role with many contact points. You are service-oriented, build relationships with ease, and work commercially with a focus on costs, revenues, and efficiency. We work in teams and highly value engagement, collaboration, creativity, and a willingness to take responsibility. You are used to planning, prioritizing, and meeting deadlines – and you contribute both energy and stability to the team. You share Uppsala Municipality's values – making a difference, working together, and welcoming innovation – and you want to help create a sustainable society through your work.
