We are now looking for an automation engineer for a long-term consulting assignment with a global player in Life Science in Uppsala.

The team consists of senior specialists and is responsible for strategy, governance, and development of automation solutions globally. Here you will have the opportunity to work in an international environment with high technical competence and a strong team culture characterized by collaboration, transparency, and engagement.

In this role, you will combine operational responsibility with a specialist role in automation. You will, among other things:

• Support the business and perform troubleshooting and improvement measures within automation

• Participate in and lead activities in projects related to automation solutions

• Ensure that automation standards are followed during the development and expansion of the business

• Contribute to international projects, including the start-up of new facilities in Asia and the USA

• Develop and improve automation solutions for increased functionality and efficiency

• Collaborate with system suppliers on documentation, procedures, and support

To succeed in this role, we see that you have:

• A university degree in a relevant field, or equivalent work experience

• Experience working with automation systems in an industrial environment

• Knowledge of DCS (Distributed Control Systems), preferably ABB 800xA

• Experience in system integration

• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written

• Willingness and interest in traveling internationally (Asia and the USA)

It is a plus if you also have:

• Experience from process industry or support operations

• Experience in system management

• Knowledge of systems such as 800xA, Unicorn, PAS-X, or Oracle

• Established network within the industry
