We are now looking for a kitchen assistant or chef who can work with us during the summer and who wants to be part of our journey in developing a unique cooking kitchen in our "Generations House". Guiding our work is our award-winning meal concept "Food with Flavor" focusing on good ingredients, sustainability, and holistic thinking, as well as "Tasty Meal" for elderly care.

What does the job of chef/kitchen assistant at Norlandia Preschools and Elderly Care entail?

As a kitchen assistant or extra chef, you will be responsible for all dishwashing, receiving and unpacking/distributing food and ingredients, planning and preparing salad buffets, performing tasks according to the self-control program, and basic cooking for the preschool and elderly home.

The kitchen's focus is on Swedish home cooking and well-known classics as well as new exciting flavors. We place great importance on personal suitability as you need to work in a team to achieve the planned results. You participate and prepare for our joint activities with the preschool and elderly care, during which the kitchen provides a shared snack or similar.

We are looking for someone who has:

• High school education in restaurant/catering or equivalent work experience

• Training in self-control and food hygiene

• Very good knowledge of preparing special diets for both children and the elderly

• It is an advantage if you have previous experience in elderly care or preschool.

• You have a good command of the Swedish language in both speech and writing

Employment type: temporary or as needed

Start date: By agreement

We apply individual salary setting and have a collective agreement. Interviews are conducted continuously, and the position may be filled before the application deadline. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Before a possible employment, you must be able to present an extract from the criminal record. You also need to prove that you have the right to work in Sweden by showing that you have citizenship within the EU/EES or a valid work permit.
