Social Pedagogue for Vingåkers Municipality

As a social pedagogue with us, you will play a central role in the daily life of the school. Together with teachers, student health, and other staff, you will work to create a safe, calm, and stimulating learning environment – both in the classroom, between lessons, and during breaks.

You will work both proactively, preventively, and remedially with students' social and personal development, and you will be an important part of the school's safety team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, you will among other things:

• Support and guide students in social interactions and study situations
• Work to strengthen students' motivation, learning, and development
• Be a present adult in the classroom and during breaks
• Prevent and follow up on conflicts and incidents
• Act as a bridge between school and home, especially in cases of problematic school absenteeism
• Support mentors in student-related work
• Collaborate with guardians, authorities, and other key stakeholders
• Contribute to efforts to increase school attendance and safety

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a degree as a social pedagogue or equivalent education
• Has experience in student-related work, for example within schools or recreational activities
• Has knowledge of problematic school absenteeism and supportive student interventions
• Has experience in supporting, coaching, and leading individuals or groups
