About the Position

1st Helicopter Squadron is based in Luleå and has the main task of conducting ground operational activities with helicopters. The squadron is the northernmost combat unit of the helicopter wing, responsible for the wing's development in winter conditions. As the communications officer, you will serve as the functional manager of the communications personnel and be responsible for the planning of command support systems that the 1st Helicopter Squadron has at its disposal. In addition, the role includes training of communications functions for own personnel.

Main Responsibilities:

• Supervising the personnel in the section.
• Responsible for functional management and control of command and communications systems.
• Responsible for planning command support systems/electricity.
• Responsible for contingency planning of the communications function within the 1st Helicopter Squadron.
• Coordinating the communications section in the squadron staff with the preparation of orders and governing documents.

Requirements

• Approved specialist officer training (OR6) or higher.
• Driver's license B.
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English in speech and writing.

Meritorious

• Communications training.
