Division Soldier to F 21
The Air Unit
The 211th and 212th Fighter Squadrons belong to the Air Unit at Norrbotten Air Force Wing and are a well-integrated unit that, with its special mission in focus, places high demands on the individual. The operations are conducted both within and outside the country’s borders, which leads to developing, stimulating, and often appreciated breaks in normal service. Our flying service takes place the majority of the time from Norrbotten Air Force Wing, where it is also complemented by larger exercises in both national and NATO contexts. We are now looking for someone who is interested in working in a dynamic workplace where no day is the same.
Main Responsibilities
- Establish relevant databases and maintain them over time.
- Assist intelligence personnel.
- Assist in solving tasks within the section's and staff's other areas of responsibility.
- Assist material handlers.
- Responsible for vehicles.
- Support the division administrator and division management regarding staff service and administrative tasks and be part of the division's STEX (Staff Expedition).
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- Current completed Basic Military Training (GMU) or basic training with conscription in the Swedish Armed Forces.
- Complete high school education with passing grades.
- Driver's license at least B.
- Good computer skills and experience working with the Microsoft Office suite.
- Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English.
Personal Qualities
To thrive in the role, you should be social, service-oriented, and responsible. Your personal qualities are characterized by attention to detail, a strong security mindset, analytical ability, and a good ability to collaborate. You should enjoy and be able to handle varying tasks, sometimes under time pressure. Furthermore, you should also be development-oriented and enjoy working independently as well as in a group.
DESIRABLE
- Good knowledge of database management and information handling.
- Good knowledge and ability to visualize information.
- Documented good language skills in English and Swedish.
- Knowledge of other languages, e.g., Russian.
- Served nationally or internationally in intelligence positions.
- Completed group leader training.
- Experience of staff work within the Armed Forces or other authorities.
- Experience working in logistics services.
- Basic security service training.
- Experience working in expedition services.
- Driver's license C.
Other
Employment type: GSS/K. The Armed Forces applies a six-month probationary period for those not employed by the authority.

Norrbotten Air Force Wing, F 21, is Sweden's northernmost air wing. The main base is in Luleå, with side bases in Jokkmokk and Vidsel.
F 21 continuously trains to deliver the following air operational capabilities in peace, crisis, and war:
- Control of airspace.
- Ground and maritime target combat.
- Intelligence gathering.
- Airlift transport.
- Support to other combat forces, total defense, and society at large.
F 21 defends - together with other units in the Armed Forces - Sweden, the country's interests, our freedom, and our right to live as we choose.
Together with the rest of the Air Force, we monitor and protect Sweden's airspace around the clock, year-round.
