Recruiting Unit

The Flight Security Company F 21 consists of two flight security platoons, a ground defense platoon, a countermeasure platoon, and a surveillance platoon that fulfills the task of IBSS (operational readiness protection force). The main tasks of the company are to train and deploy conscripts and to maintain and develop the capability to defend against ground-based air and ground threats.

Positions

The Flight Security Company is looking for:

  • Platoon Leader/Deputy Platoon Leader Ground Defense Platoon
  • Platoon Leader/Deputy Platoon Leader Flight Security Platoon
  • Platoon Leader/Deputy Platoon Leader Surveillance Platoon
  • Instructor Ground Defense, Flight Security, or Countermeasure Platoon.

Main Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities will differ depending on which platoon and position you serve in, as well as which personnel category you lead.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • At least appointed SO6 or OF1.
  • Physical requirements according to the respective platoon's standards.
  • Driver's license minimum B

Meritorious

  • Basic training or previous employment in a similar position, such as ground combat, security forces, electronic warfare, or air defense
  • Training on current UAV or CUAS systems within the Armed Forces, such as UAV06, Wingman, Pitbull, and/or Wolfpack
  • Training/experience with ksp88 or automatic cannon (20–40 mm)
  • Military driver's license, such as minibus, L/Tptgb, all-terrain vehicle, snowmobile, truck
  • Experience in radar and/or air defense (including tube artillery air defense)
  • Approved military security guard training
  • Previous experience training conscripts or GSS
  • Formal instructor qualifications
  • Training on the Armed Forces' weapon systems

Other

Permanent full-time employment. The Armed Forces applies a six-month probationary period for those who have not previously been employed by the authority.

Individual salary setting according to applicable agreements.

Start date according to agreement with the employer.

Work location Luleå.

Norrbotten Air Force Wing, F 21, is Sweden's northernmost air wing. The main base is in Luleå, with side bases in Jokkmokk and Vidsel. F 21 continuously trains to deliver the following air operational capabilities in peace, crisis, and war:

  • Control of airspace.
  • Land and sea target engagement.
  • Intelligence gathering.
  • Aerial transport.
  • Support to other combat forces, total defense, and society at large.

F 21 defends - together with other units in the Armed Forces - Sweden, the country's interests, our freedom, and our right to live as we choose.

Together with the rest of the Air Force, we monitor and protect Sweden's airspace around the clock, year-round.

Employment with us means placement in a security class. Usually, Swedish citizenship is required.
