Staff Assistants for the Swedish Armed Forces Helicopter Squadron
Are you interested in a varied position at the Swedish Armed Forces' northernmost helicopter squadron? There are now openings for two staff assistants in the 1st Helicopter Squadron and the Operations Section (S3).
About the Position
The 1st Helicopter Squadron is based in Luleå and is the northernmost combat unit of the helicopter wing. The main task is to conduct ground operational activities with helicopters and be responsible for the wing's development in winter environments. The Operations Section is responsible for leading the activities here and now, which is done through participation in briefings and continuous collaboration. The section also reports to subordinate and higher management. During exercises, S3 is part of MSE or STAB. When carrying out missions/tasks, collaboration occurs with subordinate units, authorities, or foreign units.
Main Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing administrative tasks within the section's and staff's areas of responsibility
- Support mission planning and follow-up for the squadron's units.
- Maintain and develop soldier skills within the area.
- Staff part of the squadron staff during exercises and operations.
- Be prepared to support the squadron's information and recruitment work towards schools, fairs, and manage the squadron's social media.
Qualifications
Requirements
- Minimum high school diploma
- Completed military service or GMU with passing grades
- Meets FM FysS basic requirements.
- User skills in MS Office
- Express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish and English
- Class B driver's license
Meritorious
- Experience in staff service
- Completed GBU
- Military driver's license and heavier driving license
- Trained staff soldier aviation
Personal Qualities
We are looking for someone with good collaboration skills, who is development-oriented and enjoys working both independently and in a group. You are flexible and creative, able to work independently within the framework of assigned responsibilities. You are meticulous and have a good ability to perform even under pressure. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Other Information
Employment type: Fixed-term employment (GSS/K). Initially six years with the possibility of extension. The Swedish Armed Forces applies a six-month probationary period for those not employed by the authority.
Degree of employment: Full-time
Work location: Luleå. Travel within the position may occur.
Salary: Individual salary setting according to the Swedish Armed Forces' conditions
