Command Soldier for 1st Helicopter Squadron
Do you want to be an important part of Sweden's helicopter capability during war and crisis? Do you enjoy working in a varied environment with challenging tasks that you and your colleagues will handle together? There is now a position available for you at the 1st Helicopter Squadron, Base Company, which is recruiting two command soldiers.
About the Position
The 1st Helicopter Squadron conducts ground operational activities with helicopters. The squadron is based in Luleå and is the northernmost combat unit of the Helicopter Wing, responsible for the wing's development in winter environments. The 1st Helicopter Squadron is organized into staff, division, flight maintenance company, and helicopter base, which is currently under construction. As a Command Soldier, you will belong to the helicopter base platoon and be an important part of the expansion, operation, and establishment of the unit's command post with various communication and command systems. You will work with systems in our facilities and communication systems in connection with missions and exercises. The command system includes, among other things, power supply, servers, clients, telephony, networks, and radio equipment.
Main Responsibilities
- Participate in the work with the unit's communication and command systems, for example, establishing and breaking down staff workstations, building temporary power installations.
- Support the unit with assistance within, among other things, the unit's command support system, Microsoft Office, telephony.
- The work also involves attending internal training within the Armed Forces, participating in exercises, and being expected to serve in international missions as needed.
Qualifications
Requirements
- High school diploma
- Approved military service or GMU/FSU
- Driver's license B
- Good physical ability
- Proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
Meritorious
- Knowledge of radio and telecommunications technology
- Knowledge of electricity and power supply
- Knowledge of network technology and IT
- Good computer skills

Employment type: Fixed-term employment (GSS/K). Initially six years with the possibility of extension. The Armed Forces applies a six-month probationary period for those not employed by the authority.
Employment rate: Full-time
Work location: Luleå. Travel within the service may occur.
Salary: Individual salary setting according to the Armed Forces' terms
