Welcome to apply for the position of Leisure Leader at Forsheda 7-9 school in Värnamo Municipality.

The position aims to strengthen student participation, safety, and study environment at Forsheda school. The assignment is preventive and relationship-building and serves as a complement to teaching and student health work. The role combines elements of student support, leisure activities, and social safety work.

Responsibilities

Safety and Value Work

• Be a visible and accessible adult in the school's common areas during the school day.
• Work preventively against bullying, conflicts, and insecurity in accordance with the school's safety plan.
• Contribute to a positive school climate through relationship-building work with students.

Break Activities

• Plan, implement, and develop break and well-being activities for students in grades 7-9.
• Create meaningful and inclusive contexts that strengthen community and responsibility.
• Collaborate with the school's safety team and class teachers.
• School cafeteria and student engagement.
• Be responsible for and coordinate the school's cafeteria operations as part of the safety work.
• Involve students in planning and implementation to promote participation, cooperation, and social training.
• Ensure that the cafeteria functions as a safe and orderly meeting place.

Student Council and Student Influence

• Support the principal in planning and implementing student council work.
• Guide students before meetings and contribute to the structure and follow-up of the student council's work.
• Act as a link between students and school management on issues related to school environment and well-being.

Conflict Management and Mediation

• Participate in managing conflicts between students in collaboration with school management and student health.
• Conduct supportive conversations and mediation in accordance with the school's routines.
• Contribute to documentation and follow-up as needed.

Support in Smaller Student Groups

• Provide support to students in smaller groups or individually as assigned by the responsible educator.
• Contribute to structure, work peace, and motivation in teaching-related contexts.
• Work closely with educational staff without teaching responsibility.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience working with children and young people in, for example, schools, leisure activities, or other educational or social activities.
• Education as a leisure leader, social pedagogue, or other experience deemed equivalent by the employer.
• Good ability to create trusting relationships and meet students with different needs.
• Experience or interest in safety work, conflict management, and student influence.
• Ability to work structured, independently, and in collaboration with different professional functions.

Personal Qualities:

• Secure, clear, and attentive in the adult role.
• Relationship-building and solution-focused.
• Good collaboration skills and flexibility.
• Be a natural part of the staff and work closely with both students and teachers.

The position will be followed up within the framework of the school's systematic quality and safety work. The assignment will be adjusted continuously based on the needs of the operation in dialogue with school management.
