JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Personal assistance is provided to individuals with disabilities to strengthen their ability to live an independent life. As a personal assistant, you are a human aid that compensates for the user's disability and helps them perform what they want to do but cannot due to barriers in their disability. The individual needs assistance with personal hygiene, meals, dressing and undressing, and help that requires in-depth knowledge about the individual due to their disability. The help needs can be very personal in nature, meaning close to their privacy. The work mainly takes place in the home. Your employment also includes the ability to work at other workplaces either through collaborative shifts or co-planning.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma in:

• Health and care education or
• Child and leisure education/Teaching assistant training/Nursing assistant training

Meritorious:

• Experience working with personal assistance
• Training in and/or experience with salutogenic working methods
• Training in and/or experience with service design

We are looking for a positive problem solver who can analyze situations, identify solutions, and develop working methods along the way. Personal assistance requires endurance and adaptability, as the work shifts based on the user's needs. Heavy lifting may occur.
