Your Role

Within the Aeronautics business area, the role of software developer involves understanding both the details of individual software components and the overall system and its place in the aircraft, in order to implement effective and reliable solutions in the best way possible. The section is responsible for software that realizes HMI and recording in the Gripen C/D cockpit.

The work includes, among other things:

• Requirements specification, design, implementation, testing, verification, and documentation of new and modified functions.
• Optimization and further development
• Integration and functional testing on the target platform in labs, simulators, and rigs

In this role, you will work closely with teams and project members as well as external suppliers to achieve the best end result.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who wants to combine technical depth with societal benefit. You are analytical, curious, and enjoy solving complex problems in close collaboration with others. We also believe that you have:

• Good experience in hardware-near embedded development with C/C++, Pascal, or ADA
• A master's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, technical physics, media, or education in game development
• A flexible working style to adapt your work to different situations
• Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable security protection regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may entail requirements for certain citizenship.
