About the position

Our operations at Rosenlund Hospital focus on self-care and self-dialysis treatment. Many studies today show that patients with good knowledge of their illness/treatment and the ability for self-care experience improved quality of life and increased well-being. We have both a nephrology outpatient clinic, day care for PD (peritoneal dialysis), and SHD (self-hemodialysis).

As a nurse with us, you will work to prepare, teach, and support patients in managing their blood dialysis at home. A large part of the work will focus on education and thus on creating an environment that promotes learning. With us, every patient is unique, and everyone has different conditions, both regarding learning and health status.

You will be part of a team where everyone's competence is equally important, but you will primarily work independently with the patient. Therefore, it is important that you as a person feel responsible for your own work and share our goal of always putting the patient first.

We are looking for someone who

• has an interest in nephrology/dialysis care and enjoys working independently and in a small team
• has a strong interest in education and self-care and shares our belief that it is crucial to involve the patient in their care
• is confident, stable, and has self-awareness. You see relationships in their proper perspective, distinguish between the personal and professional, and behave in a manner appropriate to the situation
• is calm, stable, and controlled in pressured situations or periods of high workload.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Swedish nursing license
• Experience as a nurse
• Experience working with blood dialysis

Meritorious:

• Relevant training for the position, such as motivational interviewing, supervisor training, and pedagogical training
• 15 credits in Nephrology
