As a Facility Technician at The Sparrow Hotel, you are a key person in the daily operations and maintenance of the hotel’s technical systems and property. You work closely with colleagues in the property team at Grand Hôtel and Lydmar Hotel, but your main workplace is at The Sparrow Hotel.

You are a hands-on problem solver with broad technical competence and a strong service mindset – and you thrive in an environment where tasks vary from day to day.

Main Responsibilities

  • Daily operations, supervision, and basic maintenance of technical installations within heating, ventilation, electricity, and control systems

  • Patrolling and checking the property’s technical spaces and facilities

  • Fire safety and daily supervision of safety-related installations

  • Troubleshooting and actions in buildings, hotel rooms, restaurants, kitchens, and offices

  • Maintenance of the external environment and land areas around the hotel

  • Assist and contribute to technical improvement and maintenance work

  • Contribute to energy-efficient and reliable property operations

  • Collaborate with external suppliers and contractors

  • All other occasional basic technical tasks such as assembly, furnishing, cabling, preparing premises, setting up banners, warehouse work, including structure, order, receipt, and handling of materials, etc.

Working Hours

  • The work primarily takes place on weekdays between 7 AM and 4 PM. To provide the best possible service and support to the team, some weekend and holiday staffing, as well as early morning and evening shifts, are included when the business requires it.

  • We value flexibility to ensure safe and functioning technical operations

Who are you?

To thrive in this role, we see that you have:

  • At least 2 years of experience in property maintenance or technical maintenance

  • Experience working with fire protection, preferably in hotels

  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electricity, ventilation, and control systems

  • Good computer skills, especially in property systems or similar

  • Meritorious with experience from the hotel industry or working with pool facilities

  • Fluent Swedish and good knowledge of English

  • Good ability to collaborate in teams as well as to work independently
