Description

Do you want to contribute to the development of the best addiction care in Gothenburg? The Addiction Clinic Hisingen is an outpatient clinic for individuals with addiction and psychiatric comorbidity, where no day is the same.

Our patients, like us, are in a constant process of change, which means a high ceiling, flexibility, and important teamwork. Here, our patients are our main focus, and we want them to be as involved as possible in their care and treatment.

We are centrally located in Hisingen, just behind Backaplan, and we work Monday to Friday during office hours, with the exception of Mondays when we are open until 5:30 PM.

We also believe that we are a good team with strong cohesion. We laugh easily, but can also be grumpy sometimes, but we solve it quickly. With us, we work in mini-teams, meaning you are not alone as the main contact but you and your mini-team are responsible for about 160 patients and help each other with them.

Job Responsibilities

As a nurse with us, you are primarily responsible for the psychiatric care and medical treatment of the patients in your team. This means that you participate in our drop-in for testing, medication distribution, injection treatments, and EKG. You will also have structured medication follow-ups and meet patients who have recently been discharged from inpatient care. In addition, you meet the patient where they are, meaning you collaborate with other actors and then work according to the care plan that you and your patients have established. This may involve suicide prevention, health talks, relapse prevention & M.I.

You also participate in both interdisciplinary treatment conferences as well as mini-team conferences where you contribute your knowledge.

We offer you an introduction tailored to your needs, as well as training in M.I, relapse prevention, and suicide prevention. Other training will be provided based on the needs of the organization.

Qualifications

We are now looking for someone who, like us, is primarily passionate about our patient group. It is advantageous if you are a trained psychiatric nurse or have previous experience working in psychiatric addiction, but it is not a requirement.

We believe that you are confident in your role as a nurse, contributing with a calm and secure approach. We also believe that you have a bit of toughness and flexibility since urgent matters can arise, requiring you to re-prioritize your planning.

If you are a newly graduated nurse, you will be part of the Clinical Foundation Year, which is our introduction program. The Clinical Foundation Year is mandatory and lasts for the first year of your employment with us. It includes lectures, nursing supervision, and practical training of your profession at the Simulator Center. In addition, it also includes service in at least two different departments to broaden your competence.

In the event of recruitment of nurses/doctors with foreign licenses/specialist certificates, the relevant position will be preceded by a process to meet the requirements for Swedish licenses/specialist certificates.
