The Workplace

The Social Services Department in Karlsborg is responsible for elderly care, care for people with disabilities, municipal health and medical care, and individual and family care. The department has about 250 employees. We offer a varied and meaningful job with freedom under responsibility.

The home care service meets the needs of support in everyday life for users who, due to age, illness, or disability, find it difficult to manage daily tasks at home on their own. Within home care, we have about 40 employees divided into different teams that primarily work based on the various geographical areas in the municipality. We all operate from Haganäset Elderly Home. We are now looking for two nursing assistants for care services in home care.

In Karlsborg Municipality, we offer full-time employment. This means that resource shifts in other units may occur based on the needs of the organization.

Job Responsibilities

Every day we make life work for people who need help; people who, for various reasons, need care, encouragement, and support. We help users feel secure, provide support to relatives, and make everyday life manageable.

We work from a rehabilitative approach with the individual at the center, where good treatment and respect for people's self-determination are our core values. It is important that you are understanding, attentive, and have a professional demeanor.

You are good at making contact, building relationships, and encouraging and supporting individuals. It is a varied job where you need to be flexible based on the user's needs for support with service, personal care, and health care interventions.

The job responsibilities include IT-based documentation and administration. The current position includes day, evening, and weekend shifts.

Requirements and Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant, preferably with experience. You are expected to be able to work both independently and collaboratively with others. Since communication and documentation are important tools in the job, you need to have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

We document in Viva and use phones as a work tool, so it is important that you have computer skills or are interested in learning this.

We are looking for a colleague who wants to contribute to a good and safe work environment, focusing on the mission to provide good and safe care and support based on the individual's needs and wishes.

A driver's license is a requirement for the position.
