Service Assistant at the Service Unit in Mariestad Municipality

The Service Unit in Mariestad Municipality is part of the home care organization. Here, nine employees work primarily with purchasing and cleaning tasks.

We are now looking to recruit a service assistant. Are you outgoing and positive, and do you have a sense of teamwork? Are you passionate about supporting our elderly residents?

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Your tasks will consist of grocery shopping and cleaning for individuals in regular housing who have been granted services. When you and your colleagues have done the shopping, you deliver the goods to the individual, usually in the morning and early afternoon. In the afternoon, the work primarily involves cleaning assignments, which you may perform either individually or together with a colleague, depending on the type of cleaning required.

The Service Unit is based in Humlet in central Mariestad, and your work area covers the entire municipality, with service vehicles used for the tasks. Working hours are daytime Monday to Friday, 07:30-16:30, including light weekends, i.e., public holidays that fall on Monday to Friday.

We have close cooperation with care staff in the home care groups, and as support in your work, you also have a planner who organizes the services.

The position we are now seeking is a permanent full-time employment.

QUALIFICATIONS

To be considered for the position of service assistant, you should have completed upper secondary education. Previous work experience in elderly care and service professions is highly meritorious.

As a person, we see that you are outgoing and solution-oriented, enjoy working in a team, and have an eye for detail. Through your positive energy, you spread joy to both your colleagues and the residents.

You are expected to have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. This is because many of your tasks involve receiving instructions and communication is important between you, colleagues, and individual residents to ensure tasks are performed correctly.

As the tasks involve a lot of lifting and carrying of grocery bags as well as cleaning, we expect you to be in good physical condition.

A driving license (B) is a requirement.
