In Region Gotland, you can develop and grow, both as an individual and together with others. When you work with us, you contribute to making Gotland an even better place for people in all walks of life. We make each other better.

The habilitation unit

Are you a physiotherapist and want to make a difference for people with disabilities? We are now looking for our new colleague who wants to work with us!

The habilitation unit offers services to people with congenital or early-acquired disabilities such as autism, intellectual disabilities, and extensive mobility impairments.

We strive to provide evidence-based care based on current research and proven experience.

Our clinic is centrally located in Visby, and we have about 20 employees in various professions. For us, it is important to have a person-centered and health-promoting approach where we work based on each patient's conditions.

Your tasks

We offer a meaningful job with complex, challenging, and developing patient cases. We work in interdisciplinary teams, and you will work both independently and together with competent colleagues and team members.

You will have the opportunity to work from a life perspective and provide support for our patients and their networks. Based on the habilitation diagnosis, we help patients to find strategies for a functioning everyday life, either independently or together with their network. You will work in a team-based manner, have individual contacts, and provide group training.

The work mainly takes place at the habilitation clinic but may also occur in the patient's local environment as needed.

We offer mentorship.

Who are you?

You who are applying are a licensed physiotherapist and have a genuine interest in the target group. Experience in habilitation work is an advantage, but we welcome both newly graduated and experienced physiotherapists.

In your work, you start from the patient's needs and involve the patient and their network in the process. You work effectively with others and see teamwork as an asset for your profession.

You will make both individual assessments and assessments and visits with other professionals in the team. You take responsibility for your work, have the ability to prioritize tasks, and can quickly adapt to changing conditions. You independently plan your work based on a holistic view of the operations and in collaboration with colleagues. You also have an interest in creating new working methods together with others and see digital solutions as part of your work.

To thrive and succeed in your work with us, you need to be unpretentious both in terms of acquiring knowledge and in sharing your knowledge and experiences with colleagues.
