Physiotherapists to the Rehabilitation Unit at Visby Hospital

In Region Gotland, you can develop and grow, both as an individual and together with others. When you work with us, you contribute to making Gotland an even better place for people in all walks of life. We make each other better.

Rehabilitation Unit at Visby Hospital

The Rehabilitation Unit at Visby Hospital is looking for two dedicated physiotherapists.

With us, you will work in a developing and varied clinical environment where you can use your skills broadly and contribute to good rehabilitation. You will work closely with engaged colleagues and in various departments, always focusing on the patient's recovery.

We are a joint unit with about 27 employees consisting of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and rehab assistants. We staff both departments and outpatient clinics at the hospital and are a natural part of the team together with nurses, doctors, and care staff. We are a committed workgroup that works person-centered and with a rehabilitative approach. There is a strong desire to develop and improve the operations.

Your tasks

We are looking for two physiotherapists for full-time positions primarily located in geriatrics/stroke and surgery. Both positions also involve work in other units within the hospital, creating a dynamic and stimulating workday. Currently, there is service space in, among others, orthopedics and the stroke unit.

Visby Hospital is an acute hospital with many specialties, despite its small size. The work includes both acute and rehabilitation phases in certain departments. Tasks include functional assessments and training in both acute and rehabilitation phases, documentation, prescription and fitting of assistive devices, participation in team meetings, and home visits in certain departments. There is close collaboration with the assistive device center, outpatient care, and home healthcare.

During vacations and other absences, we cover for each other, which makes good cooperation and interest in our various areas a prerequisite. We have a positive work climate, and the tasks are varied and stimulating in a pleasant work environment.

Who are you?

You who are applying are a licensed physiotherapist. Experience in inpatient care is an asset but not a requirement.

We are looking for someone who is confident in their professional role and interested in working in a broad clinical setting. You enjoy teamwork, are flexible, and see the value of continuity across different care departments. We offer a secure introduction and development paths tailored to your goals and strengths.

We place great importance on personal suitability.

Curious? Let's talk

We know that an ad can never capture the whole picture. Therefore, we would like to invite you to a conversation where you can meet us and tell us about your ambitions and interests. We are open to shaping the introduction and development paths together with you — whether you are passionate about surgery, geriatrics, or something entirely different within inpatient care.
