Welcome to the small animal clinic at District Veterinarians in Gotland!
We are a stable team of over 30 employees, located in bright and fresh premises.
We are well-equipped for both small animals and horses, where we can offer X-rays, dental treatments, ultrasound, endoscopy, laboratory services, and soft tissue surgery. We have built a large and loyal customer base thanks to a high level of service with good accessibility and a high collective competence.
Our small animal clinic is located in Roma, in the middle of the island, twenty minutes from Visby.
With us, you will have knowledgeable and helpful colleagues; we who work at the clinic are a dedicated team with good drive and cohesion.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
You will perform the tasks that fall within your authority. As an animal caregiver with us, you will work in a varied everyday life. You will play an important role in our outpatient work with small animals, reception, and hygiene work.
Weekend and evening work is included.
With us, you will have the opportunity to build a relationship with pet owners while following the patients' development, which is only possible in a smaller clinic!
The position is a temporary contract for 6 months with a chance of extension.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who is a level 2 animal caregiver for small animals with experience in clinical work with small animals. With patient safety and care quality in focus, you need to be able to see the whole picture of your and your colleagues' work areas. The conditions of the workday can change quickly, and you need to be able to make decisions and assess what best supports a good flow in the work.
Through your good demeanor, you retain existing customers while striving to attract new ones. You should be service-oriented and enjoy social settings.
Additionally, we value good communication skills, both towards customers and internally within the workgroup for the best possible collaboration and development. You share your expertise with colleagues.
Previous experience in working with small animals, appointment scheduling, emergency care, and telephone advice is considered an advantage.
Level 2 animal caregiver certification and a B driver's license are required.
