Laboratory Medicine Center Gotland is looking for a biomedical analyst
In Region Gotland, you can develop and grow, both as an individual and together with others. When you work with us, you contribute to making Gotland an even better place for people in all walks of life. We make each other better.
The island location requires the resources of a large hospital while also providing the closeness and community of a smaller hospital. In healthcare on Gotland, close collaborations are built quickly, and decision-making paths are short, which creates flexibility for patients and employees.
At Visby Hospital, beautifully located just next to the city wall by the Baltic Sea, we are now looking for someone who wants to make vital contributions in an engaged multidisciplinary team. The Laboratory Medicine Center Gotland is a multidisciplinary hospital laboratory that includes clinical microbiology, clinical chemistry, transfusion medicine, and a water laboratory for chemical and microbiological water analyses.
Here, we place great importance on both employee satisfaction and our quality work!
Your tasks
You will work within clinical microbiology with tasks that include manual cultivation of patient samples, setting up PCR analyses, as well as sample reception and registration in our laboratory data systems. The role also includes some contact with healthcare personnel.
You will initially work daytime according to a schedule. Depending on previous experience and placement, scheduled evening shifts may become relevant after training.
Who are you?
You who are applying are a licensed or newly graduated biomedical analyst, or have a university education in microbiology, biomedicine, or similar with a focus on laboratory work.
We also welcome those who are in training to become a biomedical analyst or in microbiology/biomedicine. Experience in manual cultivation and reading of microbiological samples is an advantage.
You have a good command of Swedish in both spoken and written form to clearly communicate with customers and understand method instructions in Swedish.
In addition to good computer skills, you are meticulous, have good collaboration skills, and can work independently. It is important that you enjoy working with varied tasks and learning new things.
