Home Care in Central Gotland

In our home care service in central Gotland, we operate from the Roma community and provide support to users in Roma and surrounding areas as well as on Östergarnslandet.

With Gotland's nature as our closest neighbor, we work to create security and a meaningful everyday life for those we serve.

We are about 30 employees divided into two workgroups that collaborate closely and function as a joint team. We have a mix of ages and experiences, and our working methods are characterized by joy, warmth, and care. We collaborate both within the organization and with other home care groups in the area.

We are now looking for two service assistants for temporary positions until March 31, 2027, who want to become part of our team!

Your Responsibilities

In this role, you will provide support and service in everyday life to our users and contribute to a well-functioning operation. You will work together with your team to ensure high quality in both service and social interventions, where every task is important for the users' safety and well-being.

As a service assistant, you will among other things:

• Plan the day's tasks together with colleagues
• Perform service tasks in regular housing, such as cleaning and laundry
• Food handling and purchasing
• Preparation and follow-up work around meals
• Waste management in residences and facilities
• Assist with deliveries and inventory management in the operation
• Maintain storage and work clothes, including laundry
• As time permits, support those responsible for taking care of cars and bicycles

The assignment will be adapted based on the needs of the operation and the employee's competence.

Overall Responsibilities:

• Work according to Region Gotland's mission and quality requirements
• Perform interventions according to assistance decisions in accordance with the Social Services Act to ensure good service
• Document and read information according to current routines in the operational systems
• Report deviations according to HSL and SoL as well as risks or incidents in the work environment
• Perform interventions according to current guidelines for basic hygiene routines
• Participate in the workplace's joint staff activities, such as workplace meetings and work environment efforts

Who Are You?

A driving license (B) is required. Experience in care, support, or service is an advantage but not a requirement.

We provide you with an introduction and support in your work. The most important thing is that you have an empathetic approach, good social skills, and personal suitability for the assignment.

We are looking for someone who can collaborate and communicate with both colleagues, users, and relatives while also working independently in varying situations where quick decisions may sometimes be required. You have a holistic view of your work and understand how your assignment contributes to the organization's goals and the users' best interests.

You follow guidelines and working methods while always putting the users' needs at the center. You are flexible, responsible, and service-oriented, and enjoy working in a team where the assignment can vary based on the needs of the operation.

In accordance with the language requirements of the operation, you need to have a good command of Swedish in both spoken and written form to ensure safe care and good and accurate documentation.
