Home Care in Central Gotland

In our home care service in Central Gotland, we operate from the Roma community and provide support to users in Roma and the surrounding areas as well as on Östergarnslandet.

With Gotland's nature as our closest neighbor, we work to create safety and a meaningful everyday life for those we serve.

We are about 30 employees divided into two teams that work closely together and function as a united team. We have a mix of ages and experiences, and our way of working is characterized by joy, warmth, and care. We collaborate both within the organization and with other home care groups in the area.

We are now looking for three residential assistants/care assistants who want to become part of our team!

Your Responsibilities

As a care assistant/residential assistant, you will among other things:

• create safety and provide support to users together with colleagues
• help, motivate, and support users with care interventions based on individual needs and wishes
• perform personal care and medical interventions on delegation from authorized personnel
• be responsible for cooking, escorting, shopping, cleaning, and laundry
• work based on individualized implementation plans and document with the user at the center
• as a residential assistant support the task regarding care contact without primary responsibility
• as a care assistant have the role of permanent care contact/contact person
• collaborate daily with home healthcare, rehabilitation, care managers, and other home care groups
• use digital planning tools in daily work
• work flexibly between our two teams as needed

Working hours follow a basic schedule with day and evening shifts as well as work every other weekend.

Who Are You?

We are looking for someone who is a trained care assistant and has the right to use the protected job title, or you were permanently employed as a care assistant on July 1, 2023. For the position of residential assistant, no formal education is required, but experience in care and support is an advantage. A B driver's license is a requirement.

As a person, you are secure, self-sufficient, and service-oriented. You communicate clearly, have high social competence, and build good relationships with users and colleagues. You are flexible, empathetic, and can quickly adapt your approach according to different individuals' needs and situations. You have a holistic view, work structured both independently and in a team, and have problem-solving and analytical abilities.

In accordance with the language requirements of the organization, you need to have a good command of Swedish in both spoken and written form to ensure safe care and good and correct documentation.
