About the Position

Almby Home Care is one of the largest home care units in the municipality. As a nursing assistant, you have a coordinated responsibility where you plan, implement, and follow up on daily work. With us, you will have about 30 colleagues who make contributions, big and small, in our customers' lives every day. Some have extensive care needs while others need help putting on their socks. Regardless of what, we start from the customer's own needs, and we do it with care!

We work rehabilitatively, which means that we utilize each person's own abilities to live life as they wish. To do this, we work in teams with care staff, nurses, and occupational therapists. We provide you with a varied and independent job, but with a team and colleagues who support you. Much of our work is bike-based, but we also have a group that drives to customers.

Examples of Job Duties:

• provide personal care and service based on the customer's individual needs
• perform service tasks such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, etc.
• establish and follow goal plans, routine descriptions, and action plans together with the customer
• collaborate with nursing assistants, occupational therapists, and nurses and relatives based on the customer's needs
• document regularly in the organization's documentation system and access existing documentation
• together with the rest of the workgroup, participate in developing working methods and methods within home care
• have knowledge of and follow the organization's applicable laws, policies, and routines

About the Workplace

At Almby Home Care, we operate from Landbotorpsallén in Ladugårdsängen. The areas we work in are Ladugårdsängen, Sörby, Sörbyängen, parts of Almby, and Ekeby-Almby. We also have a close collaboration with Marka Home Care, which also operates from Landbotorpsallén.

Qualifications

To fit into our group, you need to have a positive outlook and a strong commitment to people with different needs. You are secure, stable, and show care for our customers. Being professional in your role and taking your work tasks seriously is a given for you. You are good at communicating and working with others and always provide a good reception. Additionally, you easily adapt to changing circumstances and see opportunities in changes. You need to master the Swedish language in a way that allows you to communicate with customers and other staff, as well as document what the organization requires. Since the work involves digital documentation in the operational system, good computer skills are required.

We place great importance on personal suitability.

Requirements:

• proof of protected professional title, alternatively covered by transitional regulations (permanently employed nursing assistant as of July 1, 2023)
• Class B driver's license
• ability to ride a bike

Meritorious:

• experience working in care and support
• experience working in documentation and operational systems

Working hours: scheduled day, evening, and every other weekend

Other Information

As of July 1, 2023, nursing assistant is a protected professional title. This means that you will need proof from the National Board of Health and Welfare to be employed as a nursing assistant. While waiting for your proof, it is possible to be employed as a care assistant. However, if you had a permanent position as a nursing assistant on July 1, 2023, you can continue to use the title.
