The Social Administration of Stockholm City has an overarching and coordinating role for social services' individual and family care and the area of disabilities. Here, we create good conditions to meet residents in need of social services support. In close collaboration with the district administrations, we contribute to a modern, digital, legally secure, equal, and knowledge-based social service, and we have a strong focus on development. Within the administration, a wide range of support measures is offered to the city's residents, and the offerings change based on the needs of Stockholmers and the wishes of the district administrations. The work often occurs in close cooperation with other authorities, civil society, and the business community. The Social Administration is also responsible for the city's serving and tobacco permits and conducts supervision.

Workplace Description

The short-term home Drömmen is located in Hagsätra and is aimed at youth and adults from 12 years and older with intellectual disabilities and/or autism, who according to LSS have the right to short-term stays outside their own home.

Many of our support users have extensive functional variations and great needs for your support. Our operations are cross-municipal.

The short-term home Navet is located in central Stockholm. Navet is aimed at youth and adults from 12 years and older with mild intellectual disabilities and, in some cases, autism or physical disabilities.

Job Description

As a support assistant/support worker, you enable users with functional variations to develop and have a meaningful existence. Your tasks include providing support and good care in all everyday situations. The individual needs of the support users are always the starting point in the work, and an important part is to stimulate and motivate the user to do as much as possible by themselves and to develop their abilities. The tasks involve everything from supporting individuals with medication, personal hygiene, meals, leisure activities, etc. It is of great importance to safeguard the individual's participation and influence. We work purposefully based on individual implementation plans. Documentation and follow-up are included in your tasks. You will be support staff, which includes contact with relatives. You will receive support and guidance on issues related to approach, methods, documentation, and routines for the operation. Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a completed high school education from the Child & Leisure Program, Health and Care Program, or equivalent education focused on disabilities or experience in similar work. You may have further education in the field of disabilities, e.g., KY education. Experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum is an advantage.

You should have experience working with development work based on a structured approach with clarifying pedagogy. You need to have knowledge of and experience working with challenging behavior, alternative communication, e.g., sign language support, series conversations, and social stories.

You must be able to speak and write Swedish.

The work places high demands on your ability to collaborate, openness to change, and experience working towards set goals. As a person, you need to be clear in your body language, calm, and persistent. We work with a low-arousal approach, and it is of utmost importance that you do as well. You need to quickly adapt and prioritize work according to the needs of the operation. You should be in both physical and mental good condition as the work often requires it. The job requires some computer skills to perform documentation. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
