Specialist Physician in Pediatric Care Wanted

About Us

The Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine Clinic (BUM) offers specialist care for children and adolescents up to 18 years old who do not require hospitalization.

We collaborate across unit boundaries and have a catchment area of approximately 33,000 children in Borås, Bollebygd, Ulricehamn, and Tranemo.

The clinic is centrally located in Borås and is staffed by experienced pediatricians, pediatric nurses, child psychologists, pediatric dietitians, and medical secretaries who work in teams for the benefit of children and families.

With us, we investigate and treat conditions such as asthma and allergies, gastrointestinal diseases, obesity, epilepsy, neurological conditions, growth and developmental deviations, and various syndromes. If necessary, we also collaborate with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and speech therapists. We also offer urgent appointments for children up to six months old with acute respiratory issues, infections, or failure to thrive.

About the Job

As a specialist physician, you will have a varied and stimulating job in close collaboration with colleagues and other professionals, where teamwork is central. We primarily receive referrals from health centers, child health clinics, school health services, and emergency departments, but increasingly also from the hospital's specialist clinics as part of the transition to close care.

We value a good collaborative climate, satisfied patients, and good opportunities for both individual and joint professional development. Supervision of resident physicians is part of the daily work. About You

We are looking for someone with a specialist education in pediatric medicine and an interest in maintaining a broad general pediatric competence. You easily build trust with patients and guardians and have a professional demeanor towards both patients and colleagues.

Conditions

Selection and interviews will be conducted continuously during the application period. When applying for the position, we ask that you attach proof of your license and specialist certificate.

If you are considering combining the job with another unit, there is room for dialogue about that. There is also the possibility to work in Skene to some extent if desired. The work takes place Monday to Friday during daytime hours.
