Description

At the Ear, Nose, and Throat Clinic, we receive patients who need specialist care. We treat both acute and chronic conditions in infants as well as the elderly. Most of our patients come on referral from primary care or other medical practices. At the clinic, examinations are performed for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes, as well as minor surgeries in the ear, nose, and throat region. We have outpatient services in Skövde and Lidköping. In Skövde, we also have inpatient beds in departments 81–82.

Responsibilities

As a nurse at the clinic, you will have the opportunity to work both independently and in a team with doctors, nursing assistants, and medical secretaries. During the individually tailored orientation, you will gradually be introduced to responsibilities for telephone advice, prioritizing the acute flow at the clinic, and assisting in examinations and minor surgeries.

You are expected to participate in the clinic's development and improvement work and have your own areas of responsibility.

Qualifications

You who are applying are a licensed nurse, preferably with a few years of experience. If you have an interest or experience in the ear, nose, and throat specialty or have previously worked in a clinic, it is meritorious. We are a clinic with a high patient flow, and we are looking for someone who is attentive, responsible, and proactive. You find it easy to collaborate in a team, but you are also confident in working independently and have the flexibility to adapt to different situations. You build good relationships with both patients and colleagues, contributing to a positive work environment.

The position involves work at our clinic in Skövde, and if needed, also in Lidköping. The position also includes some duties on the inpatient ward, approximately 2–3 weekends during a twelve-week period, depending on the needs of the operation.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
