Your work will include conducting supervision, participating in case management, and collaborating internally within the agency and externally with other supervisory authorities. The supervision consists largely of qualified investigative work, which requires the ability to express oneself in writing. Supervision may involve travel throughout Sweden. An important part of our mission is also to act as a guiding force towards our supervisory objects.

  • contribute your expertise in matters within the framework of the Transport Agency's role as the sector-responsible supervisory authority over the transport sector in security protection and civil protection
  • conduct supervision over the compliance of operators with security protection and civil protection
  • work with external guidance
  • collaborate with other supervisory authorities
  • participate in other assignments within the section.

You must have

  • relevant university or college education of at least 180 credits/120 points in a field suitable for the position or other post-secondary education combined with relevant work experience that the Transport Agency assesses as equivalent
  • work experience in physical security and/or personnel security as defined in the Security Protection Act
  • very good ability to express yourself both in writing and orally in Swedish
  • good ability to express yourself both in writing and orally in English

It is meritorious if you also have

  • experience of working in government operations
  • experience in the transport sector
  • current work experience in security protection work, such as security protection analyses
  • experience of the Swedish crisis preparedness system.

The employment is permanent with placement in Norrköping.

Appointment according to agreement.

We normally apply a probationary period. As an employee with us, there is the possibility to work remotely up to three days a week. The needs of the organization and the nature of the tasks will determine whether and to what extent this is possible. An employment with us may involve placement in a security class. A security clearance with a background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted. For some of our tasks in security class, Swedish citizenship is required.

Areas of operation: The Transport Agency works to achieve good accessibility, high quality, safe and environmentally friendly transport within rail, aviation, shipping, and road. We develop regulations, issue permits, and monitor compliance. With the help of our registers, we work with fees, permits, and ownership changes.

Locations: We have employees in 12 locations across the country. The majority of the operations are located in Borlänge, Norrköping, and Örebro.
