Kooperativet Hand i Hand is a member-driven organization established in 1995 for individuals entitled to assistance. Our members are located in Skåne, Halland, southern Småland, Västra Götaland, Stockholm, and Jämtland. We have offices in Halmstad, Hässleholm, and Malmö. We support our members with everything from applying for hours with Försäkringskassan/municipality to personnel issues regarding personal assistants. We believe that the work of a personal assistant is one of the most important jobs there is, as it provides an opportunity for another person to live their life like everyone else.

I am a cheerful and wonderful 26-year-old guy with a positive outlook on life. I live in my own apartment in central Hässleholm. I am active and enjoy being where the action is. My great interest in singing, music, and film are definitely interests associated with me and reflect a large part of my daily life. But there are many other things I also enjoy doing. I appreciate the opportunity to go out and visit the city, go to the movies, have coffee, fish, travel by train, bowl, or attend various events.

I have a developmental disability and epilepsy, and therefore I always need your help in my daily life to be independent and live my life as I wish. I need help with most things and I require a clear structure. Some days are better than others, so it is important that you are understanding, patient, and flexible, and can adapt to different situations.

You who are applying should be calm, secure, and reliable, as it is important for me to feel that I can trust you and feel safe in your company. Since I enjoy doing things, I would like you to be creative, active, and able to come up with ideas for fun activities that I can participate in. Although it will be very enjoyable to work with me, I also place a significant responsibility in your hands, which I hope you will find inspiring and rewarding.

Right now, I am looking for someone interested in working as a substitute and who is willing to step in for awake night shifts. I am looking for someone who is flexible and can fill in when my regular staff needs to be off or is sick.

I am seeking both male and female assistants. It is a requirement that you are smoke-free. No driving license is required as I live near the train station, but having a driving license is an advantage.
