We are now looking for summer temporary positions in care and support in Ängelholm!

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a summer temporary worker within the Support Services, you will support individuals with various types of disabilities in different forms of operations:

Group Housing:

In a group housing within support services, a few individuals with various physical and/or mental disabilities live together. Those living here have greater support and service needs, and staff are available around the clock. You who work here are the users' extended arm in everyday life with the goal that they can live and reside as similarly to others as possible.

Group Housing Focused on Social Psychiatry:

In a group housing focused on social psychiatry, a few individuals who need access to help around the clock live together. This may be due to issues such as substance abuse and/or mental health problems. In these group homes, you work to support the users with the goal that they can live and reside as similarly to others as possible.

Personal Assistance:

Personal assistants work in the user's home and at other places where the user is. The daily routine is adapted to the user's needs and wishes, which means that the work as a personal assistant does not look the same anywhere.

Children and Youth Activities:

You can work with children and youth who have various physical and/or mental disabilities. How you work varies; there are leisure activities that take place over shorter periods and respite activities that usually last from one to several days.

Daily Activities:

Daily activities are an occupation that is adapted to the participants' individual needs. Participants receive support with meaningful activities for stimulation, development, and community.

Job Tasks

As a summer temporary worker within support services, no two days are alike! The work is adapted to the person who needs support. The users' daily condition, wishes, and abilities vary, and therefore the work is also varied.

Examples of job tasks: providing support in various aspects of the users' daily lives, such as personal hygiene, care, cooking, household activities, social interaction, leisure activities, administering medication, motivating, and communicating.

Working hours: Working hours vary within support services. There are day, evening, night, on-call shifts, and work on weekdays as well as weekends.

Solo work may occur.

QUALIFICATIONS

Personal Qualities:

You are good with people, enjoy collaborating, and getting things done. You are communicative, take responsibility, and ensure that everything works well. We use digital tools as a natural part of our work, so you need to feel comfortable using a mobile phone, computer, and other digital technology as work tools.

Education:

Care education, psychiatry education, child and leisure education, or other relevant education is advantageous, but we are also looking for those without any education.

Experience:

Experience in similar work is advantageous, as well as experience in low-arousal approaches, autism, psychiatry, pedagogical work, or other care and support.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Language:

To ensure that instructions and documentation are carried out safely and understandably, you need to master the Swedish language in both spoken and written form.

Age:

You must be at least 18 years old to be able to work with us during the summer.

Other:

To be employed within Health in Ängelholm Municipality, you need to present an extract from the police criminal record, "Check your own information".

You can order this via the Police Authority's e-service for record extracts. The extract must not be more than 1 month old from the date of issue.

We will, of course, provide you with an introduction to ensure you feel secure and comfortable with your tasks.
