The City Service Administration has an important and exciting mission to deliver, coordinate, and develop services for residents and administrations in Mölndal Municipality. The administration has about 550 employees and is organized into four operational areas: meals and local care, water and recycling, city maintenance, and staff and customers.
The water and recycling operational area works for a sustainable future by ensuring clean water in both taps and waterways and promoting more sustainable consumption with reduced waste. We do this by developing, maintaining, and improving our operations.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
We are looking for a pipe layer/construction worker who wants a varied, practical, and developing job. You will be part of a work team that works with pipeline renewal and operational tasks, such as repairing water leaks, resolving sewage blockages, installing manholes, replacing fire hydrants, and more on Mölndal's municipal water and sewage systems.
The work also includes developing the pipe network with new pipes, valves, and service lines for new constructions, as well as restoring trenches according to municipal requirements.
The position may also involve on-call duty.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with education in pipe laying/construction or other relevant education and who has experience in construction work and pipe laying. You have good knowledge of pipeline materials and handling of rotating machines. You also need to have a B driver's license.
We consider it an advantage if you have training such as Work on the Road 1-2-3, Safe Excavation, and Hot Work. It is also advantageous if you have a forklift license and/or experience in water and sewage work in municipal operations.
You are responsible and self-driven and enjoy working both independently and together with others. You are attentive and solution-oriented and always have the customer's best interests in focus.
To succeed in the role, you need to be communicative and have an easy time building trust in collaboration with others.
