The Role

As a brewery ambassador, you will welcome visitors to our brewery and conduct tours and tastings of our beer. At the brewery yard, we also greet visitors, and as a brewery ambassador, you will serve samples from our selection and manage our merchandise shop. In other words, you will be the one who meets our guests daily. In addition to the scheduled work, other events may arise, including during Almedalsveckan and concerts around the island. Heavy lifting is involved.

You will be based in Gotland and report to the visitor manager for Gotlands Bryggeri while also working closely with our brewers.

Background & Experience

• experience in the service industry, such as restaurants, cafes, visitor operations, or tourism

• previous training or experience in beer knowledge is a plus

• we expect you to have at least a high school education; a post-secondary education in tourism or restaurant management is an advantage

• you should be comfortable with both Swedish and English, in both spoken and written form

• having a B driver's license is an advantage

As a Person

• you have a strong interest in food and drink, especially in the world of beer

• you will have contact points both internally & externally, so we place great value on your personal qualities, where it is natural for you to be an engaged, interested, and social person

• in addition to being someone who enjoys providing service, it is also important that you have your own drive, the ability to plan and solve tasks independently, and establish good communication with all stakeholders

• you must be over 20 years old as the position involves responsibility as a serving manager during tastings. According to the Alcohol Act (2010:1622), Chapter 8, Section 18, the serving manager must be at least 20 years old.

Employment Period

• Start in mid-June

• The position lasts until August 16

Scope & Working Hours

• Temporary employment at 75%, with the possibility of more hours

• Working hours: approximately 10 AM to 7 PM

• Possibility of on-call employment after the summer

About Us

Since 2024, we have two breweries in Visby on Gotland, S:t Hansgatan and Cypressen

S:T HANSGATAN 47 Embedded in the Gotlandic cultural heritage, inside Visby's medieval city wall, lies Gotlands Bryggeri's development and visitor brewery. Two copper kettles, three brewmasters, and tons of ideas have produced some of the most beloved beer brews in Sweden since its inception in 1995. It is at the brewery on S:t Hansgatan that all brews are developed and see the light of day for the first time.

CYPRESSEN A bit outside Söderport, with a wide view of the Baltic Sea, since the autumn of 2024, Gotlands Bryggeri's new brewery has been located at Cypressgatan 3B. Here, favorites like Sleepy Bulldog, Hazy Bulldog, and Peachy Bulldog are brewed and produced.
