As a paid hourly worker in healthcare and social services, you can start working now and then continue as one of our important summer substitutes in 2026! In this job, you will meet and support elderly people who need help in their daily lives or children, young people, and adults with varying needs.

This may involve cooking, cleaning, daily activities, or shopping together. You will also assist with dressing and undressing, hygiene such as showering, and toilet visits.

What you will do

Assistant Nurse/Home Care Assistant

You will primarily travel by car and sometimes by bike between clients and help with daily routines at home - such as dressing, assistance with showering, handing out medication, and being the individual support the client needs.

Assistant Nurse/Care and Support Home

You will assist clients in a residence with daily routines - such as dressing, assistance with showering, handing out medication, and being the individual support the client needs. In certain departments, it is especially important to have staff who can spread calm and security to the clients.

Support Assistant

You will work pedagogically within a group home or a service apartment, where you provide support and care with the goal of strengthening the individual's abilities and independence. The individuals you meet may have extensive physical, mental, or intellectual disabilities. In your role, you will motivate and guide users in various everyday tasks, focusing on promoting their independence and participation. The tasks include personal care, support with medication, household chores such as cleaning, laundry, and shopping, as well as participating in and encouraging various activities.

Personal Assistant

You will work to provide support in everyday life to a person in their home, based on the individual's own needs and wishes. It is a meaningful assignment that enables someone with extensive disabilities to live an independent and active life. The support may include both practical daily tasks and leisure activities, always focusing on strengthening the user's independence. The tasks include personal care and may also involve delegated actions, such as administering medication. The user's life situation and wishes guide the work.

Your experiences

We are looking for someone who:

• Is at least 18 years old - Exception: If you are studying the healthcare and social care program in your 4th semester and have turned 17, you can apply for a summer job. The age requirement is based on the Swedish Work Environment Authority's regulation 2012:3 regarding minors' work environment.
• Has good knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form.
• Can work with both male and female clients/users as well as colleagues.
• Is flexible, responsible, and has a genuine interest in working with people.
• Can show up on short notice if needed.
• Is available for work at least 2-3 times a week.
• Can provide a criminal record extract. From March 1, 2026, it is legally required to show a criminal record for work in the home with the elderly and people with disabilities. This record can be obtained in your digital mailbox. Meritorious:

• Education in: Healthcare and Social Care Program.
• Child and Leisure Program with a focus on pedagogical and social work.
• Equivalent education.
• Experience of working in healthcare and social services.
• Driving license B.
• Ability to cycle.
