About the Position

The mission of the hematology clinic is to investigate, diagnose, treat, or dismiss suspicions of hematological diseases.

As a nurse at the clinic, you will work either as a treatment nurse or contact nurse. The tasks consist of regular clinic work, with the main focus on the nurse-led treatment clinic. The most common treatments include chemotherapy and antibodies. We have a close collaboration with the care department and are available for our patients even when they are in inpatient care. This allows you, as a nurse, to maintain your experience in inpatient care, and if you lack previous experience in inpatient care, you now have the opportunity to deepen your knowledge in emergency care.

Ward 5A is tasked with treating patients with hematological, pulmonary, or endocrine conditions that require inpatient care. Each nurse, together with two nursing assistants, is responsible for seven patients. In addition, there are support functions in the form of coordinators, resource nurses, and pharmacists to ensure that you, as a nurse, can focus on the patients.

We are a well-functioning unit that is well-staffed on both the physician, nursing assistant, and nursing sides.

Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed nurse. Previous experience in hematological or oncological care is an advantage.

We seek someone who is innovative and enjoys improvement work. You need to be a person who can work independently after a longer onboarding period, and it is a requirement that you enjoy working in a team. We place great importance on personal suitability.

Working Hours

At Halland Hospital, we work together to staff the services that are necessary around the clock. This means that some of the working hours may be scheduled in the evenings and on weekends.
