Vacant job

As our assistants are taking much-needed vacation, we are now looking for part-time staff to cover the need this summer.

The girl you will be assisting is a soon-to-be 23-year-old who lives with her mom, dad, and our dogs, just outside Uppsala. She has cerebral palsy and epilepsy and requires help and support in all activities. She is a cheerful girl who enjoys activities, from outings, going to town, walking, and hanging out at shopping centers. She does not speak but communicates with Bliss and is very active.

The shifts are scheduled during the day/evening and are distributed over weekdays and weekends. We have a very safe and stable group of assistants where everyone is unique. We take care of each other, there is a high ceiling, and all assistants should feel secure in getting the support they need from their colleagues, team leaders, and the organization.

You are a warm, empathetic, and responsible woman of at least 18 years, who enjoys being creative and contributing positive energy. You like to collaborate but can also be independent. You are mentally and physically strong. A lift is available in the home, but some manual lifting may occur. You must be fluent in Swedish as all necessary information regarding the work is communicated in Swedish, both in writing and verbally. You must have a driver's license and access to a car to commute to and from work. Experience is not a requirement; personality and a willingness to learn are more important. You should be able to work weeks 27-32 to apply for the position, and if everything feels right, the employment can transition to a permanent position.
