In the field of pain and rehabilitation medicine, our clinic conducts specialized team-based assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation for individuals with spinal cord injuries, acquired brain injuries, complex pain, complex fatigue, and Ehlers-Danlos syndrome.

The clinic has 14 care places and is a resource unit for the Southeast healthcare region. We have a specialized outpatient operation with several different focuses and also work consultatively with other units. Interprofessional teamwork permeates the work where the patient, relatives, and involved professionals jointly formulate goals for the current rehabilitation based on the assessments and investigations carried out by each profession. We work for close collaboration with other activities relevant to the patients' care and rehabilitation. We also have investigative activities related to insurance medicine and traffic medicine. The clinic is a university hospital unit proud of our expertise in pain, neurology, and rehabilitation. Research, teaching, and development constitute a significant part of the clinic's work. Job Description

We are looking for a licensed psychologist with interest and experience in patients within the scope of the operation. With us, you will meet patients with complex long-term issues where the bio-psycho-social approach is central. The tasks involve both assessment/investigation and treatment with a rehabilitative purpose. Since the clinic has several different patient categories, as well as both outpatient and inpatient care, there are good opportunities to gain broad experience in the field of specialized rehabilitation. The work is carried out both independently and together with other professionals. Currently, we are in a period of development, so it is important that the applicant has an interest in contributing to this with creativity and collaboration skills.

Work Group

A total of 13 psychologists work at the clinic. The group has a broad competence with long experience in the field. Specialist competence exists within the group, as well as research competence in the form of doctoral students, PhDs, and associate professors. Several other professional categories are active within the clinic; doctors, nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, nursing assistants, and medical administrators. Close collaboration between professions is characteristic of all parts of the operation.

About You

You are a licensed psychologist, and it is desirable that you have worked for a few years in the profession. Experience in neuropsychological assessment, treatment work for patients with complex issues, pain rehabilitation, and/or neurological rehabilitation is meritorious. We also view positively experience in collaborating in teams with other professional groups.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities. You are well anchored in the role of psychologist. You are secure as a person, self-driven, and take responsibility for your tasks, while being attentive and working well with others. You set deadlines, plan, organize, and prioritize work effectively. In complicated issues, you make correct assessments and priorities based on the whole, and show judgment in statements, actions, and decisions. You easily adapt to changing circumstances, see opportunities in changes, and contribute to finding solutions in the clinical everyday life when needed.
