We are looking for a business developer with a particular focus on information architecture and data.

Here you will work closely with our operations and help them understand, structure, and use information in a smarter way. The role is central to our development journey towards a Smart and Sustainable Karlstad and in the work to make data both a strategic and democratic resource.

As a business developer focused on information architecture and data, you will be part of the Municipal Executive Office's development function and belong to the department for digital development and innovation, responsible for leading and supporting the digital transformation in Karlstad municipality. Responsibilities

You will be a bridge between operations, strategy, and technology. Your mission is to create clear and usable information structures that make it easier for the municipality to develop digital services, make better decisions, and work more data-driven.

You will work together with business developers, strategists, architects, developers, and data engineers to create a common perspective and ensure that our information is used thoughtfully.

Your role includes:

Describing how information and data need to function in various development initiatives
Developing conceptual and information models together with the operations
Mapping the capabilities of the operations and linking them to information flows
Leading dialogues, workshops, and collaboration meetings.
Contributing to the development of working methods, guidelines, and structures for data governance and data management.

About you

We are looking for someone who is driven by creating value for society and who thrives in the intersection between strategy and operational work, with the ability to see the whole and lead processes where the way forward is not given.

Qualifications:

Experience in business development and working with information and data in change processes.
Ability to create structure and clarity around information, preferably through information modeling.
Experience leading dialogues and collaborating with different target groups.
Ability to explain complex matters in a simple and understandable way.
Relevant post-secondary education, such as in informatics or computer science.

Meritorious:

Experience in decision support, data analysis, or data platforms.
Knowledge of data governance and responsibility regarding information.
Experience with master data or coordination of information between operations.
Experience from the municipal or public sector.
Interest in how AI relies on good information structure.
