We work with support and care for the elderly and for people with disabilities. The goal is for them to live as active and independent lives as possible.

The Care and Social Services Administration is one of Sweden's largest employers in municipal care and social services. Here, approximately 7,500 employees work based on our values – making a difference, working together, and welcoming innovation. Within the Care and Social Services Administration, we have full-time as the norm. This means that all permanent employees fundamentally have a full-time position. More information about what this means for this position will be provided during a potential interview. Exceptions (from full-time as the norm) are personal assistants.

Do you have experience working as a case officer with authority under SoL and LSS? With us, you will have an independent and meaningful assignment where you use your skills to empower people in their daily lives and contribute to safe and legally secure support. Here, you will be part of a competent team that offers flexibility, development, and a workplace in central Uppsala.

The Care Committee's authority is responsible for providing services to individuals with disabilities who need support in their daily lives. The authority is divided into eight units that work targeted towards different target groups. We have case officers, team leaders, unit managers, and various support functions working with us. We also collaborate closely with the Elderly Committee's authority, which is part of the same administration.

We are now looking for a case officer for the Social Psychiatry Housing unit. The position is a 6-month temporary contract.

Our workplace is located in the heart of central Uppsala in the city hall. Here, we work in bright, fresh premises and choose our workspace based on the tasks we need to perform. In our work, you have great opportunities to plan your work independently, and thanks to our digitalized case management process, you also have the opportunity to work from home a few days a week. All employees in Uppsala Municipality are offered 3000 SEK per year in wellness benefits.

Job Description

Our target group is individuals over 18 years old with mental or neuropsychiatric disabilities. We primarily work with various types of housing interventions for these individuals.

The work involves providing information as well as investigating, assessing, and making decisions about interventions according to both the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS). Another important part is to follow up on decisions to ensure that the support works as it should.

The role includes collaboration both internally and externally with providers and other principal authorities. Documentation, individual meetings, and care planning are also important parts of the work.

We strive to be transparent towards users and to provide good service while ensuring legally secure and efficient case management. Therefore, we continuously work on both personal and organizational development. With us, you will have the opportunity to actively contribute to that development.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work, a degree from a social care program, or another education that the employer deems relevant. You need to have experience working as a case officer with authority under SoL and LSS. Good oral and written skills in Swedish and a good ability to work in Microsoft 365 are also required for the role.

It is advantageous if you have knowledge of IBIC (Individual Needs in Center), training in MI (Motivational Interviewing), and experience working as a case officer or exercising authority for people with disabilities. It is also a plus if you have worked in the Lifecare operational system and have good documentation skills.

As a person, you adapt quickly to changes and see opportunities in new circumstances. You collaborate well with others, are attentive in meetings with people, and handle communication and conflicts constructively. You work in a structured manner by planning, organizing, and prioritizing your work effectively. You meet set deadlines.
