You will work in the Department of Business and Supply Management, which is part of the Armed Forces Headquarters. We work, among other things, to direct and focus the work with the Armed Forces' supply flows and to lead, direct and follow up the Armed Forces' business operations (procurement and purchasing, sales and leasing), at all levels of preparedness, both nationally and internationally.

The department consists of five sections and as a commercial expert, you will be an important part of the Governance and Follow-up Section (STYR), which today consists of an engaged and competent team of six people, which is now to become eight people.

Main Responsibilities

As a commercial expert, you are a key person in the Armed Forces' strategic business operations and you need to be interested in finding innovative solutions and recognizing the need for change and improvement work. We are looking for someone with solid experience in handling complex issues within business law and who wants to contribute at a strategic level to translate requirements for commercial operations related to the current situation and NATO membership. To succeed in your tasks, you need to easily understand operational requirements to quickly grasp the various needs within our organization.

You will work with:

  • independently but also together with others, investigating and preparing commercial issues, referrals, documents, and cases from a commercial perspective
  • independently be responsible for both leading and participating in investigations, working groups, and projects both internally and externally
  • written PMs, investigations, referrals, reports, decision documents and presenting them both internally and externally

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

  • Relevant academic degree preferably with a focus on business law, economics, logistics, or equivalent education deemed equivalent by the Armed Forces
  • Several years of current and relevant experience in independently leading commercial projects and investigations with good results
  • Several years of current and relevant experience in strategic purchasing work in public operations, preferably government authority
  • Current and relevant work experience with public procurement
  • Current and relevant experience in independently writing directives, PMs, letters, directives, and similar documents in public operations
  • Very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing (fluent Swedish and English)
  • Good computer skills and very good knowledge of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint

Meritorious

  • Relevant experience from government authority
  • Experience in commercial work within public administration as an expert and/or project manager at a strategic level
  • Current and relevant work experience in commercial work at a strategic level within the defense sector

Other

The employment is a permanent position. The Armed Forces apply a six-month probationary period for those who are not employed by the authority. The position is a civilian employment. Individual salary setting applies. Travel in service may occur. Employment rate: 100% full-time. Work location: Stockholm. Start date: As soon as possible and by agreement.
