About us

The Palliative Medicine Section is part of the Regional Shared Primary Care, which also includes the doctor car, wound center, and geriatrics department 36.

The Palliative Medicine Section consists of two teams – one in Karlshamn and one in Karlskrona, based at their respective hospitals. The assignment is county-wide in Blekinge.

The care is aimed at all patients in need of specialized palliative care. The section has a close collaboration with primary care, the municipalities in Blekinge, other clinics in the hospital, and the hospital chaplaincy.

We work based on a person-centered approach where the goal is for the patient to be cared for at home as much as possible despite complex medical conditions.

Working in the team means that we support each other, communicate, and develop our skills together to enhance care. The team consists of nurses, doctors, social workers, physiotherapists, and medical secretaries. Working hours are scheduled during daytime on weekdays without weekends.

About the job

As a nurse in Palliative Medicine, you will work with the patient and their relatives in focus. The work is independent and varied, involving home visits, both individually and together with other team members, telephone advice, and collaboration with other care providers.

We are now looking for a nurse who is interested in working in our palliative team in Karlshamn.

About you

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a licensed nurse.
• Has experience working as a nurse.
• Has good knowledge of Swedish and English in both spoken and written form.
• Has a B driver's license.

We would also like you to:

• Be a specialist nurse in palliative care.
• Have work experience in palliative and home care.
