The Social Administration's work includes authority exercise and implementation for target groups such as children and youth, individuals with addiction issues, individuals with mental health problems, individuals in need of financial support, and support due to violence in close relationships. The administration is divided into departments for adults, youth, support and work, and administration. We have a process-oriented working method where collaboration, development, and continuous improvements lead us forward.

The Support & Treatment Unit is an executing unit aimed at individuals with some form of addiction issues and/or criminality, relatives, as well as victims and perpetrators of violence in close relationships. The unit offers a range of different interventions such as counseling, talk therapy, and support for relatives. From a preventive perspective, fieldwork is also conducted. The operation also includes a social medical reception run within SAMLA with Lerum Municipality. The reception has a special assignment and operates independently in relation to others within the unit.

At the unit, we have therapists, social educators, coordinators, and adult field workers, and we shape our interventions based on individual needs as far as possible.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a therapist with us, you will be part of a larger team where we daily meet individuals with addiction issues, criminality, and relatives. Since the beginning of the year, the unit has also been working with interventions related to violence in close relationships.

Your job responsibilities will include psychosocial treatment work primarily aimed at individuals who are victims of violence and those who perpetrate violence. You will plan and follow up on interventions and collaborate with other actors such as social services, health care, correctional services, and other organizations that are important for the target group.

In this role, you will also work with individuals based on addiction and/or criminality, mainly focusing on young adults.

The position requires that you can work independently while being an active part of the team's joint efforts.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a trained social worker or has another higher education that the employer assesses as equivalent. You have previous experience in treatment work and psychosocial support, and it is an advantage if you have previously worked with violence in close relationships, addiction issues, and/or criminality. A B driver's license is required for the position.

You have personal maturity and demonstrate this by being secure, stable, and self-aware. You have a good ability to create trusting and professional relationships and can relate to others in a responsive and flexible manner. We see it as a given that you have a commitment to the target group of adults with addiction issues. For this position, we will place great importance on your personal suitability.
