Welcome to Lomma Municipality!
Welcome to a workplace where you can make a difference – every day.
Lomma Municipality offers coastal living quality with proximity to Malmö and Lund. We care about our residents, the environment, and the sea. Lomma Municipality stands for development, sustainability, and high quality.
We are located in the heart of the Öresund region and have good communication options with buses, trains, and bike paths to nearby areas.
As part of Lomma's transition to Close Care and our ambition to become Sweden's best home care service, the Home Care units City and Hamnen in Lomma are expanding their staffing and are therefore looking for four nursing assistants.
With us at the home care units City and Hamnen, nursing assistants, service staff, team leaders, and operations planners work in a close and supportive community. Our shared home care facility is located at Poppelgatan 21 in Lomma. You can easily reach us by bus from Lund, Malmö, and other surrounding municipalities. If you drive, there is plenty of parking available, and it is free parking around the clock.
Welcome with your application!
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a nursing assistant with us, your mission is to always focus on the individual and to carry out the approved and prescribed interventions with a preventive and health-promoting approach. More concretely, this means that you:
- Provide personal care to care recipients in ordinary housing.
- Perform delegated tasks according to HSL (for example, handing over medications, insulin, subcutaneous injections, tube feeding)
- Encourage and support care recipients to engage in activities and social interaction.
- Document in journals and write implementation plans.
- Act in the role of Fixed Care Contact.
Your mission also includes mentoring and supporting new colleagues and students as needed, as well as actively participating in the professional development that we regularly offer.
The nursing assistants are divided into work teams, and each team has regular meetings with team leaders and operations planners to collaboratively plan routes and proactively work on quality issues. Each work shift begins with a structured report where the working employees meet with the operations planner, team leader, and unit manager to discuss current issues and go through the planning for the shift.
To enable you to perform the role of fixed care contact in the best way, we have a working method where you receive an extra 30 minutes per care recipient every other week. The purpose of this time is to allow you to establish a trusting relationship with the care recipient and continuously check how the interventions are working. There are also several teams of nurses and rehabilitation staff associated with the units, and regular collaboration between nursing assistants, HSL staff, and case managers occurs both in everyday life and at scheduled team meetings.
We encourage you to take an active role in shaping your schedule. We cannot accommodate all requests, but it is our ambition to be flexible. The starting point for scheduling is that you are scheduled to work every other weekend, that most of your shifts are during the day between 07:00 and 15:15, and that you work between 35 evening shifts per four-week period (usually 14:00/15:00-22:15). We follow collective agreements, and a schedule with 100% working hours with us means that you work 19 shifts per four-week period.
QUALIFICATIONS
You who are applying should:
- Be a trained nursing assistant with a professional certificate.
- Be prepared to take necessary delegations (for example, handing over medications, insulin, subcutaneous injections, catheter flushing, tube feeding, etc.)
- Have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
- Have good digital skills, for example, in connection with documentation.
- Be able to cycle.
- Hold a B driver's license.
It is an advantage if you have:
- Further education in healthcare or social work, for example, specialist nursing assistant.
In the recruitment process, we will place great emphasis on personal suitability. Based on this, we see that you as a person should be responsible, committed, meticulous, flexible, and attentive, as well as have an easy time establishing and maintaining constructive relationships with both care recipients, relatives, and colleagues. We also see that you maintain calm and focus, even in situations where a lot is happening at the same time, and that you consistently have a working method where you involve each individual care recipient and enable them to have influence over their daily lives.
OTHER
In addition to a good community where we focus on providing you with the right conditions to perform good work, you as an employee with us are offered:
- Regular training on topics such as cognitive diseases, basic hygiene routines, mental health, etc.
- Access to supervision in the work from team leaders, dementia nurses, and Silvia sisters.
- Health care allowance of 3000 SEK per year.
In Lomma Municipality, you have access to benefits according to our collective agreement. In addition to insurance, we also offer you, for example, health care allowances and benefit bicycles.
