Your workplace

The inpatient care in Arvika is primarily a medical clinic that includes two departments within acute internal medicine. The outpatient clinic offers services in endocrinology, gastroenterology with endoscopy, rheumatology, cardiology, and a diagnostic center. There is also specialized home healthcare that receives patients with complex needs and patients in palliative stages of their cancer disease.

The emergency department is open 24/7 and receives about 15,000 patients a year. The hospital also has, among other things, an ICU, laboratory, and radiology. We are at a stage where Arvika has become its own area, and the hospital is set to develop. In this process, employees are involved. There is an opportunity to pursue ST programs in internal medicine, geriatrics, or palliative medicine.

The setup of the ST position is planned in consultation with the operations manager, study director, and supervisor. If you want to combine your ST with another specialty, we are open to discussion. The clinic has an introduction program to ensure you feel welcome and are smoothly integrated into the work in a personalized manner.

Your responsibilities

Your responsibilities include participating in all parts of the operations, namely departmental work, outpatient work, on-call duties in the emergency department, and work in the unit for specialized home healthcare.

Your skills and competencies

We are looking for you who are a licensed physician and interested in internal medicine. If you are interested in a basic training position before ST, you are also welcome to apply. The basic training will then be a temporary position until you potentially start the actual ST training.

As a person, you are positive and responsible with good self-awareness. You have good judgment and can prioritize and take initiative when needed. You are motivated by challenges and driven to develop. You enjoy supporting your colleagues and collaborating to create sustainable and good results together.

Experience in the field is seen as a positive, but you who are completely new are also welcome to build your experience and competence with us. Great importance is placed on your personal qualities.
